I had to move up their photoshoot up that day because it was something like a 60% chance of rain. Luckily we made it through the session rain-free and just as I said "I think we got it guys" We felt the rain drops start to sprinkle.
When we got started I asked Samantha and Jordan if they were taking pictures for anything in particular. Samantha told me that it was just time! That they have never had any photos done together before and that it was long overdue. I was intrigued and so I had to get their story. (And it's a good one guys!)
I absolutely adore this story and I feel very lucky they chose me as their photographer. Samantha moved a couple of months ago from Paso Robles to Visalia, in her own words, "to start her journey with Jordan." I love this statement because it shows the devotion that she has for Jordan and paints the picture that she is the type of person who is willing to sacrifice for the people she loves.
When I asked how these two met Jordan instantly starts laughing. They share that they actually had met several years prior (8 to be exact!) at the Mid State Fair through some mutual friends. The best part of the story is the light and playful way that Jordan describes how he "chased her" for those 8 years. Their serendipity-filled romance definitely made this shoot fun. After hearing all this I definitely agreed with Samantha that it was just time!
Not that you would ever guess it from looking at these pictures- but Jordan hated the idea of taking pictures! Pretty sure he teased her with the "you're lucky I love you" line a time or two- to which Samantha said "I know" (Such playful banter back and forth). Just a few of my favorites below.
The setting was perfect, it was green and simple and it played the appropriate backdrop for that extraordinary kind of love that we often find right in the middle of everyday life.
Hope you enjoyed & until next time,
