Quinn & Kendall's sweet southern wedding in Georgia is one of my favorites to date. I had so much fun. I got lucky because the entire weekend there was a cool breezy and it was in the high 70s. Even with humidity it felt better than this Central Valley heat.
They chose a sweet barn venue complete with goats and horses which was about an hour outside of Atlanta. Their ceremony was under a huge oak tree and had the perfect amount of rustic charm. A wood alter with a little bit of lace and some baby's breath was all you needed.
Kendall was adamant about not seeing her groom before the wedding. They decided instead of writing their own vows to share publicly they would write them down and exchange letters before. We kept Kendall hidden behind a door and snuck Quinn inside. It was literally the sweetest thing, they both got emotional.
Kendall also did a special first look with her dad. His reaction was priceless. He immediately noticed Kendall was wearing a necklace he had gifted to his wife years ago.
Kendall was the most relaxed bride I have ever met. She spent her time before the wedding hanging out in the bridal suite in her floral robe & converse shoes. She didn't seem the least bit nervous. The entire day went off without a hitch. They ended the night with a sparkler exit. I'm already looking forward to my next destination wedding.
It's been way too long since I've posted. So here is one of my most recent sessions. A Visalia maternity session with some of my favorites. Jordan and Samantha are one of my favorite couples. I was lucky enough to shoot their wedding earlier this year. Now these two are expecting a sweet baby girl any day now.
This session was so sweet because mom and dad brought lots of touches to personalize their session including this necklace that Samantha made herself. I raved so much about this necklace that Samantha surprised me with one with my daughter's name on it. (I have the best clients!)
I'm looking forward to shooting sweet Leighanna Rae's newborn portraits next & watching this family grow.
It's officially June and that means I'm weeks behind on the blog! My first session in May was this gorgeous mamas maternity session on the beach. My first beach session and can I just say I'm hooked?
Lisa reached out to me a few months ago after finding me online. She and her family we're taking a family trip to Disneyland. This was incredible to me since Lisa is from Texas and I'm in California. I was shocked to say the least but completely excited. We settled on Huntington Beach. The whole family including 2 year old Aubrey wore white and it was perfect.
It was a Monday afternoon when we did this session and so it wasn't incredibly busy and we did the majority of the shoot underneath the pier. Lisa was the easiest person to direct with posing and made the entire process so easy and she and her husband were both such good sports. Even when they got hit with a cold tide of water! Here are a few of my favorites. Congratulations again to Lisa and her sweet family!
Another sweet couple's engagement on the blog today. Meet Quinn & Kendall.
Quinn is a friend of my husband's. They play airsoft together so when Quinn and Kendall got engaged earlier this month my husband was quick to recommend me for the job. Quinn popped the question while on a trip home visiting Kendall's family in a room that overlooked the water.
They met a little over a year ago by chance thanks to being in the right place at the right time. They've been inseparable ever since. She's a student at Fresno State and Quinn is in the Navy and stationed in Lemoore.
Kendall is the sweetest and is kind of soft spoken and Quinn is definitely the goofy one in the relationship. They balance each other out in the simplest way possible and their session was so easy and natural. Here are just a couple more of my favorites.
Kendall is originally from Orange County and Quinn is from Georgia. This couple decided on a short engagement and are hard at work planning their summer wedding. I'm excited to say this will be a destination wedding! They've decided to get married at The Barn in Sierra Springs close to where Quinn is from. I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be also shooting this gorgeous couple's wedding this July. Congratulations to the future Mr. And Mrs. Conley!
This week the rain subsided long enough to get this session in. Josie and Chris settled on picking Hart Park for their engagement photos. After hearing about how much they love traveling to places like Portland and Washington it made perfect sense they would want this lush green backdrop.
The park was completely empty of people and the sky was overcast which made for the perfect soft light. Josie warned me that she and Chris would be an awkward couple to shoot-- insert eye roll here! They were anything but that!
Josie told me during our consultation that she and Chris have been dating for 10 years and that they love the simple things in life. This sweet couple is so easy-going that they made this photoshoot a breeze.
Chris can be both serious and funny and I teased him that Josie brings out this sensitive side you never knew would of existed otherwise. We spent the end of the session laughing mostly about Josie and mines undying love for Buffy and Angel and whether or not an octopus picture can be. classy.
I say it all the time but I get the best couples and I feel so blessed to be able to capture moments like these for them. This entire session was amazing and I can't wait until their September wedding. Just a few more favorites
Until next time,
